What is CBM?

This test is recommended  for women and men over 45 as it detects whether you  suffer from osteoporosis, a condition  which may cause  spontaneous fractures from minor  trauma.
People often realize they suffer from this disease when it is too late to be cured.
In Italy one in four people over the age of 50 have osteoporosis, mostly women, so prevention is fundamental.
The CBM test you can do at our pharmacy measures bone density in the heel, which provides a snapshot of bone mineral content in all our bones.
This exam  is painless and  non-invasive, it  makes use of ultrasound, so there is no radiation risk.
